Cavendish 2018 - 2019
Welcome to Cavendish Class; the home of Year 5 and 6!
This term our topic is "Migration: The Movement of Life".
The earth upon which we live is home to billions of living organisms. From hawks to humans, they are all designed to survive. For thousands of years migration has been part of life but it has never been as talked about as it is now. We will be exploring why migration occurs, which different species migrate and explore why it is a keenly debated subject.
Cavendish PE Sessions
This year PE will be on a Tuesday and Friday afternoon. In addition, we will swimming every Wednesday afternoon for the first 10 weeks of term.
Not less homework. Just different homework. Times tables and reading every night as a minimum.
Additional (optional) maths homework will also be uploaded to this page each week.
Children are encouraged to 'up-level' their work by using CPOW Pyramids. The children are aware of whereabouts on each pyramid they should be aiming in order to progress.
The CPOW Pyramids can be found below, as can Self-Assessment sheets and Special Sentence guidance.
