Meet The Support Staff

Sarah Smith (Bursar)

Mrs Smith officially joined the school full-time in April 2018 after working part-time for the previous 12 months. Having worked at another local primary school for 5 years, she offered the school a wealth of experience and is the welcoming face of the school.

In her spare time, Mrs Smith enjoys swimming, supporting Tottenham Hotspur and is a Visitor Enhancement Volunteer at Chester Zoo. Her love of animals extends to her dog, Tilly, who has recently been welcomed to Saighton as our school dog.

Chris Griffiths (Site Maintenance Officer)

Having worked as a mental health nurse for 30 years, Chris joined Saighton in May 2018. She keeps our school gleaming and is more than willing to go the extra mile to make Saighton School a brilliant environment for the children.

When not in school, Chris enjoys gardening, helping run a produce stall at Tattenhall Country Market and spending time with her grand-children. She also assists on her sister's farm where she does everything from milking the goats to planting-up hanging baskets.

Tilly (School Dog)

Tilly has been with us since September 2018 and has been a wonderful addition to the 'school staff'. Tilly is a four year old Cocker Spaniel, who loves interaction with the children.  It is hoped Tilly will listen to the children reading and further enhance our pastoral care within school.

Outside of school, Tilly loves off-lead walks, chasing a ball, listening for the rustle of a crisp packet and occasionally following instructions!
