Meet The Teaching Team

Mrs Finola Jackson (Deputy Headteacher)

Mrs Jackson joined Saighton having previously been a succesful senior leader at a rural, Chester Diocesan school. She is particuarly passionate about reading, RE and all things creative. Mrs Jackson has a love of writing and has had articles published in both RE Today and the National Association of Small Schools' Newsletters. A proud Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, Mrs Jackson enjoys sharing good practice and nurturing opportunities for collaboration to ensure the best possible education for children. Prior to qualifying as a teacher, Finola worked in marketing for Granadamedia. She has a love of the outdoors and travelling and has also taught in Mexico for a year. At weekends nowadays, Finola is often found on the touchline of sporting fixtures whilst cheering on her four children with the family labrador, Millie. 

Miss Claire Dilworth (Teaching Assistant)

Miss Dilworth joined the Saighton team in January 2019 as a teaching assistant having previously worked in primary schools for 18 years across Cheshire. She is qualilified in Special Educational Needs and is passionate about making sure every child is given the same opportunities. 

As an alternative therapy Miss Dilworth has trained as an Aromatherapist which she uses and practices both in school and privately. Outside of school, she enjoys walking on the beach or in local parks with family and friends.
