Notifying School of your Child's absence
It is a parent's responsibility to notify the school of a child's absence by 9.10 am.
Parents can use any of the following methods to report their child's absence:
- By phoning 01244 335822 and selecting Option 1 to leave a message on the pupil absence line. Please leave your child's name, class and the nature of the absence. If your child is ill, please give details of symptoms as merely saying 'unwell' or 'under the weather' is not sufficient information.
- By using the Absence Tab in ParentMail, again leaving your child's name, class and details of the absence.
- By email to the school office on email@example.com.
If the school office has not received an absence notification by 9.20 am then an attempt will be made to contact both parents, by telephone in the first instance, and then by email.
